Are the RiverLoire tours in English?
Yes. All our guides are fluent in English but we can also organize tours in French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian and Mandarin. For other languages, please contact us.

Do you organize tours only for individuals?
No. Most of our clients are indeed individuals, traveling alone, with friends and/or family, but we can cater for larger groups and companies. Whatever the size of your party, the tour remains totally private.

Do you offer semi-guided tours?
Yes. At RiverLoire we offer fully guided Loire Valley tours and semi guided Loire Valley tours. Be aware that in France, drinking and driving are a no go, therefore, all the excursions implying wine activities will be fully chauffeured and guided.

Will there be other people traveling with me?
No. All our tours are strictly private, which means it is only you, your travel companion(s) and your driver/guide.

Do you organize transportation to/from the Loire Valley?
We do not sell overseas tickets. However, we can organize all your transfers by car/train/plane within France.

Is my money secure with RiverLoire?
Yes. RiverLoire is completely licensed and insured. Our Insurance Company guarantees your deposit and ensures that your tour will go ahead, regardless of any default on the part of your service provider.

Can I pay for my tour without any risk?
Yes. As an official and registered Travel Agency, RiverLoire is insured and has a guarantee from Société générale bank up to € 100 000,00 : all your payments are protected by this fund. We do not file any banking details and all payment transactions are protected.

What kind of vehicle do you use?
Within the Loire Valley, we use our own deluxe vehicles ranging from 7-seater Rhodius for larger group to elegant Audi A6, for smaller party. They are all very comfortable with A/C and leather seats (no mini-van).

Will I need to change hotel during my stay?
This is really up to you. Most of the accommodation we have selected are located in/around Amboise, where RiverLoire is based. Amboise is indeed a very charming historical town, providing ample restaurants and shopping opportunities, with some exceptional sights. Considered as the cradle of the Renaissance, it is the perfect starting point to explore the Loire Valley. If you would like to experiment different kind of accommodations (Chateau, boutique, Manor…), just let us know, we’ll take care of everything, including transferring your luggage.

Will I have some free time during my tour?
Yes. All our tours include free time when you can explore the local markets, art galleries, boutiques and cafes at your own leisure. If you feel like you need more time on your own, just let us know, or opt for a semi-guided tour.

How do I book a tour?
With RiverLoire it is easy to book a tour. You can either use our online booking form or send us an email about the tour and date of your choice.

Can I reserve my RiverLoire vacation with my travel agent?
Yes. RiverLoire accepts all reservations made through licensed travel agents. Just tell him/her to contact us and we’ll be happy to arrange your trip with him/her.

Where do your tours start and finish? How do I get to the starting place?
Our tours usually start/end from the Loire Valley, which is easily reachable by train and/or plane. But we can also pick-you up/drop you off in Paris or anywhere else, if you would like to pursue your travel.

When is the best time of year to take one of your tours?
RiverLoire organizes tours all year round and adapt the itinerary to the seasonal period.
