Itinerary

Day 1: Introduction to the Loire Valley

For your first day in the Loire Valley, discover the little town of Amboise, its castle, its patisserie and its charming pedestrian streets. The Loire River flows at the bottom of the chateau… for your first unforgettable snapshots!

Day 2: Photo workshop at Chenonceau

Your first workshop with a professional photographer will cover the best ways to set up your camera for shooting in different conditions and Chenonceau, with its castle and its gardens, will be your first “playground”.

Day 3: Photo workshop at Chambord and Cheverny

A full day surrounded by spectacular sceneries and just as many photographic opportunities, from Chambord to Cheverny. On the way back, don’t miss the odd looking castle of Fougères-sur-Bièvre and the lazily flowing Loire River.

Day 4: The Loire Valley from the sky

Before leaving the Loire Valley, take a look from a new perspective. Board a hot air balloon for a ride above the lush and green Indre valley, its castles, its the vineyards and its typical villages…

Our RiverLoire experience was excellent! The organisation and attention to detail were great! The main component of this tour was a photo tour, we were accompanied by a professional photographer - his instructions were very clear with good guidlines, allowing us to take the best possible pictures. Our guide Manon was also very good, knowledgable and patient! The accommodation was absolutely lovely and the hot air ballon ride a fantastic experience. A truly memorable and enjoyable experience! Great service and great place!

I have to say, my highlight of the trip was, now I'll probably have to rephrase that, because there were so many highlights from the week.
Clos Luce for me, really stood out, not from being more beautiful or anything like that, the whole day actually. I had in my mind that it was a low key day, nothing too exciting and the whole day just blew me away. Then, we had an incredible lunch in one of the restaurants in the main street in Amboise,

Villandry was spectacular and loved every inch of it. But knew it would be. The other really pleasant surprise was Chateau du Rivau... And it was such a pleasure learning from you that day...
But that would not have been possible had we just gone to visit ourselves. And that was probably one of the things that would have me book with you again, the information that we learned from you, from Thierry and Karine and also from Brian... I love learning and to actually be learning from locals was just so incredible to me...
