Overview
The Loire River, often called the last wild river of Europe, is probably one of the most striking river. In its most characteristic stretch, from the hills of Sancerre to the city of Angers, it flows past an extraordinary parade of castles, palaces and fine mansions, making it the perfect place to canoe for a truly environmental friendly experience... For a shorter ride, opt for the quiet Cher river and paddle down to Chenonceau castle. You will even be able to pass under the arches of the castle for unrivalled pictures!
The rides range from 1 hour on the Cher to several days on the Loire River and some are suitable for beginners (as long as you can swim). Children are welcome. A ride on the Cher river is a great way to discover Chenonceau castle and can be easily followed by a visit of the castle.
