Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Amboise, the heart of the Loire Valley
According to your time of arrival, enjoy a light typical French lunch, at the bottom of Amboise Castle, before starting the visit of this iconic chateau, with your private guide. End the day by the Clos Lucé, the last residence of Leonardo da Vinci.
Day 2: Majestic Loire Valley Castles
A full day to enjoy two of the most famous chateaux: Chenonceau, the romantic castle accross the Cher River, and Chambord, the impressive masterpiece nested in its huge walled park. Even lunch will be served at the castle…
Day 3: Magnificent French Renaissance gardens and exquisite red wines
The Loire Valley is often called the “garden of France”. Discover some of the most beautiful examples, including some hidden jewels far away from the crowded tourist path, before heading for the vineyards and taste some wine in a private estate.
Day 4: A unique experience around the Loire valley wines
Some tourists just taste the wine, but you are going to “experienced it”. Be ready to “see” and “touch” it in a style offered to few travelers and in places open only to RiverLoire guests.
Day 5: Tours, City of Fine Art and History
Tours is the regional capital of the Touraine. From the food market to the delightful shops, you will have plenty to do and see until your train/plane leaves. Don’t miss the medieval and renaissance area, the ideal place to enjoy a cup of coffee or lunch surrounded by 1000 year old houses.

I had an exceptional experience with Thierry and his expert and professional team throughout my stay with a group of friends in the Loire valley. They could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Their organizational skills and attention to detail were first class. I'm looking forward to coming back again!

We chose to do chateaux, wine tasting, and canoeing on the Cher river. We had one whole day on our own too. Riverloire provided us with maps of both cities for that day and transported us between the towns.
We did not have to think about anything (they even transported our suitcases from one hotel to the next).
We had Audrey as our guide. She was absolutely amazing - Her knowledge about French history and more is incredible- She had us all mesmerized by her story telling. Her energy is fantastic.
A highlight was when we were invited to Riverloire's owners house (Thierry) wine cellar where we got to taste some fantastic wines and even bottle our own.
Our whole itinerary was amazing - It was a Magical, Fairy tale trip! I highly recommend Riverloire and think the staff is fantastic!!

Each of our guides was delightful. Clement has a passion and knowledge of wine that is inspiring. Marine is poised and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed her tour. Of course you already know how much we liked Audrey. Meeting Thiery at his home and learning about your company added to our interesting experience. Thank you for your help and . I hope we meet again.

Everything met our expectation and we will be happy to recommend RiverLoire to our friends and family. We have felt as though RiverLoire has been entertaining, informative, completely organized and stressed free during our entire stay.
We are interested in the Normandy tour with Audrey for our next trip to France!
