Paris is only one hour away from the Loire valley by TGV (French bullet train), making it the perfect starting or ending point of a longer stay.
If you have some extra days, you may also consider keeping your guide to go to Normandy and/or Brittany… a nice addition to the Loire Valley, only a few hour drive away…
