Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Amboise, the heart of the Loire Valley
According to your time of arrival, enjoy a light typical French lunch, at the bottom of Amboise Castle, before starting the visit of this iconic chateau, with your private guide. End the day by the Clos Lucé, the last residence of Leonardo da Vinci.
Day 2: Majestic Loire Valley Castles
A full day to enjoy two of the most famous chateaux: Chenonceau, the romantic castle accross the Cher River, and Chambord, the impressive masterpiece nested in its huge walled park. Even lunch will be served at the castle…
Day 3: Magnificent French Renaissance gardens and exquisite red wines
The Loire Valley is often called the “garden of France”. Discover some of the most beautiful examples, including some hidden jewels far away from the crowded tourist path, before heading for the vineyards and taste some wine in a private estate.
Day 4: A unique experience around the Loire valley wines
Some tourists just taste the wine, but you are going to “experienced it”. Be ready to “see” and “touch” it in a style offered to few travelers and in places open only to RiverLoire guests.
Day 5: Tours, City of Fine Art and History
Tours is the regional capital of the Touraine. From the food market to the delightful shops, you will have plenty to do and see until your train/plane leaves. Don’t miss the medieval and renaissance area, the ideal place to enjoy a cup of coffee or lunch surrounded by 1000 year old houses.

Our stay in the Loire Valley was a lovely experience. Our guide Manon was knowledgeable, concerned, and protective. We spent a delightful time in her company. We would definitely recommend your company to our friends!

Our itinerary provided a thorough glance of the culture and heritage of the Loire Valley, made so much more enjoyable by our guide, Manon! She was excellent, had great knowledge and was very attentive to our requests and our well being! We also enjoyed a great picnic and delightful wine tasting. We look forward to using RiverLoire again in the future!

Thank you for organizing our vacation for me, Phyllis and Barbara. We all had a wonderful time. The program you planned was really ideal and exactly what we all wanted.
We loved the chateaus, and especially cooking classes and wine tastings. Both cooking classes had very special menus.
Again thank you so much. It was a memorable vacation.

Our stay in the Loire Valley was a remarkable experience. We had heard of it often, but the reality was far more wonderful than the stories and myths. Everywhere we went it was a beautiful sight. Everything looked well cared for and tidy. Everything was clean and prosperous looking. We encountered lovely, friendly, helpful people.
We think the Loire Valley is one of France's jewels and should be at the top with Paris, Lyon.
Oh, yes, the food was astounding and the beautiful presentations of it were remarkable. We never saw such exquisite looking food, ever. (The only poor meal we had in the Loire Valley was the one we selected on our own. Shame on us!) We enjoyed very much the cooking class with Valerie that you arranged. It was a very nice learning experience, but also seemed like we were enjoying being in someone's home with a friend, or family member.
We enjoyed going in the cave in Thierry's home. We enjoyed the initial chateaux especially well. They are spectacular. We enjoyed all the restaurants you selected for us. We especially enjoyed the lunch on Sunday, as it seemed we were in a place frequented, and enjoyed, by French citizens. That made it seem like we were having a very "real" French experience. We enjoyed it all, truly.
